Bing Yew graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Cardiff, Wales in 2014. He was called to the English Bar as a Barrister-at-law in 2015 and is a member of the Honourable Society of Middle Temple. Thereafter, he returned to Malaysia and was admitted and enrolled as an Advocated and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2016. 

Bing Yew practices in a wide array of general civil litigation, including commercial disputes, contractual disputes, land disputes, bankruptcy, debt recovery and construction. Bing Yew has represented a broad range of clients across various industries, including both public and private companies, SMEs, directors as well as other private individuals and has appeared in all tiers of the Malaysian Courts. 

Bing Yew is also conversant in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Cantonese.

  • Acted as a co-counsel in representing a carpark operator in a Land Reference proceeding to appeal against the quantum of award for compulsory acquisition of land by the Federal Government
  • Acted as a co-counsel in the Federal Court and successfully obtained a Judgment in favour of a management corporation in impugning the sale of the excessive car parks in a condominium and reclaimed ownership of the said car parks as part of common property
  • Acted as a co-counsel in obtaining obtained a Judgment in favour of a renowned developer for the restitution of the amount overclaimed under the progress claims by the sub-contractor
  • Acted as a co-counsel in administrative law matters against statutory bodies and government agencies
  • Represented a housing developer in CIPAA proceedings and court proceedings to claim for the outstanding amount for the work done
  • Successfully defended a construction company against claims for setting aside a consent judgment purportedly based on fraud and misrepresentation
  • Successfully obtained commital order against the directors of a company whom applied to strike the company off the register of companies while the court proceedings are ongoing
  • Successfully obtained garnishee order in favour of home purchasers against the holding company and the related company of the Judgment Debtor (a developer)
