Jia Shern obtained his Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in July 2019. In between, he also completed a 9-month stint as a corporate and conveyancing paralegal at Ghazi & Lim, Penang prior to commencing the Bar Professional Training Course.

He is passionate in making a positive impact on the lives of those around him, and he thoroughly enjoys the thrill of solving complex problems. He aspires to practice in corporate and commercial advisory, and is constantly improving his knowledge on the law.

He involves himself with pro bono and charity work from time to time and spends his free time taking part in all sorts of physically and mentally stimulating activities including sports, reading, and playing board games.

Fun fact: He once walked from the west coast of England to the east, covering approximately 300 kilometres entirely on foot over a span of 11 days. He did it with a friend.
