Apart from his conventional legal practices, Ming Chiek has since early 2017 ventured into the blockchain scene and has advised a number of international blockchain projects in Singapore, Malta and Gibraltar. Through involvement in these projects, he has established a wide network of local and foreign partners from these crypto valleys. He believes that crypto market is converging and blockchain technology is going to revolutionize everything from banking, supply chain, government, trading to even our identities.

As a believer in lifelong learning, and driven by his interest in corporate finance, Ming Chiek enrolled for and passed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) level I examination at his first attempt in 2015 to gain further insight into corporate finance.

Ming Chiek obtained his Law Degree with 2nd Upper Class Honours from the prestigious University of Malaya.

    • A Japanese private equity fund on the acquisition of a non-controlling stake in a Malaysian supermarket chain for a consideration of RM300 million
    • A Hong Kong based private equity fund for the acquisition of a minority stake in a bereavement services provider for a consideration of RM200 million
    • A public listed company on its acquisition of the entire equity stake in a producer of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film in Malaysia for a consideration of RM40 million
    • A public listed company on its acquisition of the entire equity stake in a trading group of companies for a consideration of RM140 million
    • A Singapore-based real property focused private equity fund on its acquisition of a controlling stake in a property developer in Malaysia for a consideration of RM50 million
    • A plantation group of companies for the divestiture of its plantation business for a consideration of RM50 million
    • A Singapore non-profit blockchain real estate start-up on the tokenization of shared holiday homes by using blockchain technology to create an open and transparent way of recording digital assets, which revolutionizes time-sharing model in real estate
    • A Singapore-based green, shared mobility project which aims to provide Transport-as-a-Service (TaaS) to congested cities worldwide by utilizing blockchain technology. The innovative project establishes utilization records of green mobility services on a decentralized public blockchain as an irrefutable record for “Proof-of-Green”
