BIOGRAPHY
Kelvin graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom in 2016 and obtained his Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in 2017. He commenced his pupillage in Gan, Lee & Tan and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in March 2019. He was retained in Gan, Lee & Tan as a Legal Associate.
On his areas of interest, Kelvin has a strong passion in corporate and commercial law. He strives to provide practical legal advice to his clients on all areas of corporate and commercial law and help them find solutions to meet their commercial needs and resolve any issues which may arise.
Kelvin’s core practice areas include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, commercial contracts, private fund-raising exercises, corporate advisory, corporate governance and employment matters.

- Advised a fully-licensed stock exchange in Labuan, Malaysia on general legal and regulatory matters in respect of those business activities carried out by the exchange
- Advised and acted for a private limited company in relation to a proposed acquisition of its majority of shares by a public listed company
- Advised a group of companies licensed to carry out corporate and retail trust services that include, amongst others, providing legal advice on the group’s internal compliance, HR and operational documents from a legal perspective
- Advised and assisted several private limited companies with their private fund-raising exercises which include drafting of the relevant transactional documents
- Advised, negotiated and drafted of shareholders’ agreements for several private limited companies
- Advised several companies on matters relating to corporate structure, corporate governance, commercial arrangements, human resources, intellectual property, financial arrangements and regulatory compliance
