Gan Ming Chiek

Prior to setting up Gan, Lee & Tan (GLT Law), Ming Chiek worked as a Corporate M&A lawyer in Rahmat Lim & Partners (associated with Allen & Gledhill of Singapore), a tier one corporate transactions-focused law firm in Malaysia, and as a corporate & commercial lawyer in Mah-Kamariyah & Philip Koh, both of which advise on many of the nation’s largest and most high-profile transactions. Ming Chiek has a strong passion for designing and structuring tax-efficient deals that facilitate his clients’ M&A transactions. His career in the M&A sphere has given him the opportunity to work on several notable corporate M&A transactions in Malaysia; in particular, M&A transactions involving the property development, manufacturing, bereavement care, assets management, energy, healthcare, entertainment, technology, F&Bs and distributive trade industries.

Edmund Yong

Edmund has held several senior management roles, as the former Asia Pacific Director for a big data and blockchain-powered company on the Fortune Global 500, and General Manager of a dominant credit reporting bureau. Prior to this, he cut his teeth in finance for over a decade, where he last headed an unsecured lending arm of a sovereign fund-owned bank as Senior Vice President. He has led several industry-first and market-leading solutions on fintech, risk scoring, and e-delivery, which are honoured with dozens of international awards for product innovation. His career has spanned three continents, and is professionally certified in CFPI® , PDCA® and Six Sigma® Black Belt methodologies for Total Quality Management (TQM), with four academic degrees (including LLB and MBA).
