BIOGRAPHY
Ling Qi graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Honours) from the University of Malaya. She was admitted to the Roll of Advocates and Solicitors of the High Court of Malaya in February 2025.
Before joining Messrs. Gan, Lee & Tan, Ling Qi completed her pupillage and subsequently became an associate in the corporate and commercial department of a leading law firm in Malaysia.
Her practice encompasses corporate and commercial matters, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, international and domestic joint ventures, and corporate and regulatory compliance advisory work for international and domestic companies, including private and public-listed companies as well as government-linked companies.

- Conducted legal due diligence and acted for a leading international NYSE-listed U.S. company in connection with its acquisition of a Malaysian subsidiary as part of its global carve-out acquisition of a group of companies.
- Acted for a Government-linked company in relation to its proposed disposal of oil palm plantation companies in Sarawak.
- Acted for a leading multinational company in connection with its disposal of a 50% stake in a joint venture company.
- Assisted with the advisory work and drafting of a new joint venture agreement between the Singapore subsidiary of a multinational company and a prominent property development and management company in Malaysia.
- Assisted in advising a government-linked company in connection with the proposed cross-border sale of electricity.
- Assisted with a legal due diligence exercise for a subsidiary of a major international private healthcare company in connection with its acquisition of commercial and medical suites.
- Assisted with legal due diligence exercises involving companies in the fund management, solar energy, manufacturing, and property development and management sectors.
- Assisted in advising a leading public-listed Malaysian property development company in connection with the negotiation of property management and leasing consultancy services agreements for a well-known shopping centre in Selangor.
- Assisted in advising a well-known public-listed property development company in Malaysia in connection with its sale of land for the construction of a switching station for a solar power plant.
- Acted for a China-listed company in connection with its acquisition of unalienated industrial land in the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park.
