BIOGRAPHY

Kim Bee graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2023.

Her practice encompasses civil, commercial litigation and construction disputes. She has developed experience across a broad spectrum of practice areas, enabling her to deliver commercially sound, strategic, and pragmatic legal advice to the Firm’s clients.

In line with the Firm’s commitment to modernity, innovation, and forward-thinking, Kim Bee is dedicated to protecting her clients’ interests through careful preparation, effective advocacy, and practical legal solutions, supported by a strong understanding of the legal and commercial landscape.

  • Assisted partners in representing and advising liquidators of a prominent IT company, wholly owned by a Japanese corporation, in filing court applications to summon former employees to provide, amongst others, information on the company’s trade dealings, affairs, and intellectual property.
  • Assisted partners in representing and advising a company in filing an application to get leave nunc pro tunc for voluntary winding up.
  • Independently handled numerous suits and execution proceedings initiated by a business solution service provider against its customers, claiming outstanding rentals and service fees.
  • Independently handled numerous suits and execution proceedings initiated by financial service provider against borrowers to recover outstanding instalments.
  • Assisted partners in representing and advising a subsidiary of a Chinese construction company in an arbitration for a disputed sum of approximately RM29 million, related to the liquidated ascertained damages.
  • Assisted partners in representing and advising a palm oil mill contractor in its arbitration against the employer with a disputed sum of RM20 million involving amongst others payment for work done, liquidated ascertained damages, etc.
  • Assisted in reviewing various types of contracts and agreements for a Fortune Global 500 healthcare company.
